Gerald Dean Jarrett

Gerald “Dean” Jarrett, age 75 of Taylorsville, passed away at Carolina Caring in Catawba County on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Dean was born on Sunday, June 30, 1946, to the late David Jeston and Viola Mamie Presnell Jarrett. Mr. Jarrett was a member of Millersville Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and was the neighborhood watchman.
Including his parents, Mr. Jarrett was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Jarrett and his sisters, Mona Lee Hughes and Reba Sneed.
Those left to cherish the memory of Dean, including his wife of 52 years, Jill Dyson Jarrett, sons, Shane Jarrett (Donnette), Adrian Jarrett (Amber), grandchildren, Dustin Matthews (Erin), Mikhayla Sipe (Will), Hallie Jarrett, Ava Jarrett, Austin Jarrett, Alexander Jarrett, great-grandchildren, Bentley Sipe, Samuel Sipe, Grayson Matthews, sister, June Hammett, sister-in-law, Louetta Jarrett, and a number of special friends, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Millersville Baptist Church. The family invites the public to join them for light refreshments in the fellowship hall after the service.
Rev. Bill Orren and Rev. Brian Kerley will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Baptist Men of Millersville Baptist Church and Millersville Christian Academy, 130 Millersville Road, Taylorsville, NC 28681.
