Geraldean Holloway Smith

Geraldean Holloway Smith, age 74, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at her home in Alexander County. She was born to the late Daniel Hort Holloway and Flossie Wagoner Holloway on Wednesday, September 14, 1949, in Wilkes County. Geraldean was a member of Millersville Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and her house cleaning business. Geraldean also enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Harry Gant.  Geraldean loved her family and spending time with her great-grandchildren. Most of all she loved her husband of 52 years.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Smith; and brother, Jerry Wagoner.

Those left to cherish the memories of Geraldean include her son, William Smith (Candy) of Lenoir; brother, Jimmy Wagoner (Betty) of High Point; grandchildren, Ashley Sweet (Jeremy) of Taylorsville, Dakota Smith of Lenoir, and Gari Bickel (Shaun) of Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Gunner and Sadie Sweet, Scarlett Smith, and Corbin Bickel.

A visitation will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Alexander Funeral Service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be Saturday, October 7, 2023, in the Alexander Funeral Service Chapel at 1:00 pm. Burial will be at Liledoun Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Bill Orren will officiate.
