Gertrude Nellie Morgan,

Gertrude "Gertie" Nellie Morgan, age 70 of 4302 Wilkesboro Hwy, Statesville, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Iredell Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born on September 16, 1942 in Frostberg, MD. She was the daughter of the late William John and Sarah Jane (Ritchie) Kammauff. Mrs. Morgan was a retired store clerk and manager. She was of the Christian Faith. Surviving is her husband, Roy R. Morgan, Sr. of the home; one son - Roy R. Morgan, Jr. (Tina) of Taylorsville; two daughters - Pamela DeHaven Benson (Jeff) of Severn, MD and Rometta Morgan Davis and friend Len of Gastonia; a son-in-law, John Davis and nine grandchildren. She also has a sister, Billie Jean Ramsey of Cresaptown, MD and a brother Herman Kammauff of Paw-Paw, WV.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm at New Beginnings Ministry in Stony Point and service will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor Chuck Hager officiating. Burial will follow at Hiddenite Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Idaho Bryson, Larry Arnette, Gus Hartness, Jimmy Miller, Cody Johnson, Rory Johnson and Sam Miller.
