Gladys Ann Hill

Gladys Ann Parsons Hill, age 70 of Hickory passed away unexpectedly at Frye Regional Hospital on July 30, 2019. Gladys was born on May 31st, 1949 to Blake Morrison, Jr. and Elizabeth Parsons Jones. She was a former dental technician for Fine Arts Dental Lab and attended Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church. Gladys expressed her love by writing poetry, she loved music and decorating. She will always be remembered by her beautiful smile and her eccentric style.
Gladys was preceded in death by her stepfather who raised her, Clarence Jones, parents Blake Morrison, Jr. and Elizabeth Parsons Jones and one infant brother Gary Jones.
Those left to cherish the memories of Gladys include three daughters Monica (Alonso) Arias, Regina Propst of Taylorsville, Roslyn Propst of Hickory, six grandchildren Nicholas, Jeremy, Jordan, Marlayna, Natalie and Nola. Six great-grandchildren, one brother Joseph McIntosh, four sister/cousins, Rosetta Smyres, Betty Miller, Cat Shuford and Marie Free, two aunts Dorothy Bennett and Emma Jean Huggins, goddaughter Latisha Flowers and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Hickory from 1:30 pm until 2:45 pm with the funeral service following at 3:00 pm. Pastor Marcus Williams, Minister Terrill Davis-Coulter and Pastor Dillan Bolt will be officiating. Burial will then follow at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.
