Gladys Mae Fox Teague, 99 of Taylorsville passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, May 25, 2015 after an extended illness. Gladys was born on Sunday, February 20, 1916 to the late John and Maggie Willet Fox in Alexander County. She loved working in her flowers and yard, Gladys was a avid gardener. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Gladys retired at the age of 80 from working in textiles and furniture.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband James Teague, five brothers, Clyde, Avery, Otis, Bryant, and James Fox, two sisters, Lake Jenkins and Vera Wike.
She leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Lena Deal and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 4:00 pm in the Liledoun Baptist Church Cemetery. In addition to flowers memorials can be made to Hospice of Alexander County 50 Lucy Echerd Ln, Taylorsville, NC 28681.
