Glenda Bentley Lowe,

Glenda Bentley Lowe, age 65 of Taylorsville passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of CatawbaValley.  She was born in AlexanderCountyon September 24, 1945 to the late Lester Wakefield and Cecil Hubbard Bentley.  Glenda attended Mt.HebronBaptistChurch, she loved her children and her family and also loved to take Bus Tours.  She had been a cloth cutter at CraftMaster and had been in the furniture manufacturing industry for over 37 years. Those left to cherish the memories of Glenda are her husband, Wayne C. Lowe of the home.  One son “Chad” Matthew Lowe; two brothers: Steve Bentley of Taylorsville, and Harold Bentley and wife Gaye of Hiddenite;  two sisters Virginia Millsaps and husband David, and Treva Cody and husband Jerry – all of Taylorsville. Nephews would include: Randy and Rodney Bentley, and Scott Shoemaker; nieces are: Sonya Bentley, Stephanie Ballard, Sandy McKinney, and Tracie Shoemaker.  Great nieces & nephews; Kaylin Ballard, Parks Hill, Lacy Branch, Seth Branch, and Jake Shoemaker.  Special friends are Dorothy Crouch and Bobby Barnes.  Other than her parents, those preceding her in death are a niece Melissa Millsaps and a nephew Barry Bentley. Visitation for Glenda will be held on Monday, May 2, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service.  Funeral Services will be 3:00pm on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Mt Hebron Baptist Church.  The body will lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service.  Rev. Eddie Yount will officiate.  Burial is to follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the home of Jerry and Treva Cody at other times other than the funeral home.
