Glenn Keener Bowman

December 31, 1930 — November 18, 2019

Glenn Keener Bowman, age 88 of Taylorsville passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Trinity Village in Hickory. Born to the late Keener and Maude Teague Bowman of Alexander County. Glenn served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, he worked in the furniture industry for North Hickory Furniture and was a member at Antioch Baptist Church.
Glenn loved the outdoors, he enjoyed cutting wood and loved to farm.

In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by two brothers, Hugh and Fred Bowman, five sisters, Hazel Benfield, Edna Montgomery, Beulah Hollar, Bessie Austin and Lona Crouch.

Those left to cherish the memory of Glenn include his wife of 53 years, Shelia Witcher Bowman, one daughter, Sherry Green , one granddaughter Hayley Green both of Taylorsville, two sisters, Betty Echerd of Greensboro, Gaynell Messick of North Wilkesboro, one sister-in-law Linda Hines of Taylorsville along with a host of nieces and nephews.
No formal services are planned at this time, and Inurnment will be with the family at a later date.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service.
