Grace Brown Laxton, age 77, of Dudley Shoals, passed away September 26, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Watauga County on May 29, 1939 to the late Roby Jones and Duluth Lawrence Brown. Grace was a member of Temple Hill Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She served the Lord with gladness. She was an example of her Savior's love, patience and strength. She passed that love to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She wanted them to have a desire to live for the Lord. To accept him as their Savior. Praise God her family has! Her desired legacy was just that. That her children and their families come to know Christ. She will continue to live on, not only in our memories, but in the legacy that she has left behind. That we (her family) may serve the Lord. That others will see Christ in and through her family. All praise to God! One generation passeth away and another generation cometh. Ecclesiastes 1:4.
