Grady Allen Johnson

Grady Allen Johnson, age 92 of Hiddenite passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Gordons Hospice in Statesville. Born in Iredell County to the late Foy T. and Fallie Goodin Johnson. Grady was employed at Niemand Industry in Statesville. Grady served our country in the US Army and was a life-long member at Damascus Baptist Church.
Grady enjoyed being outdoors, he loved farming and especially raising beef cattle.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Dwight Johnson, two sisters, Gladys Kerley and Mae Johnson.
Those left to cherish the memory of Grady include his wife of sixty-seven years, Nancy King Johnson, one son Charles Johnson and wife Jane, two grandchildren, Allison Brown and husband Fudd, Ashley Lineberry and husband Brian, three great-grandchildren, Garrett and Weston Brown, Lily Lineberry all of Hiddenite, one sister, Dorothy Childers of Charlotte and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Mr. Johnson will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Damascus Baptist Church in Statesville at 3:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Samaritans Purse @ Donor Ministries P.O. Box 3000 Boone, NC 28607.
