Harry Lee Moose, age 64, of Taylorsville, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Thursday, May 12th, 2011. He was born on October 5th, 1946 in Alexander County to parents Lloyd Ned Moose and Edna Marie Herman Moose. Harry served in the U.S Air Force during Vietnam and was a member of Three Forks Baptist Church. He was a truck driver for Cable Transport for 23 years and also drove for Holly Farms. He restored vintage cars and enjoyed farming, especially working with cattle and horses. In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 40 years: Doris Wike Moose of the home; 2 daughters: Dana Moose Crouse & husband Danny, and Kelly Moose Head & husband Mike; 4 grandchildren: Dallas & Danica Crouse, and Mikhayla Jarrett and Nathan Pope – all of Taylorsville; and 1 sister: Marjorie “Margie” Friday & husband Grayson; 2 nephews: Frankie & Lloyd Friday – also all of Taylorsville. He also leaves behind a host of special friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 14th, 2011 at Alexander Funeral Service from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Sunday, May 15th, 2011 at Three Forks Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. where Rev. Carson Mosley will officiate. The body will lie in states 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour. Burial will follow in the church cemetery where military rites will be given via DAV Post 84. Levaughn Brown, Danny Jones, Danny Brown, Dennis Johnson, Frankie Friday, and Lloyd Friday will serve as pallbearers. Honoraries include: Jerry Lackey, Donald Brown, Tony Ferguson, Scott Mitchell, Larry Yoder, and Mack White.
