Helen Eutrella Miller,

Helen Eutrella Miller, 87, of Statesville went to her eternal home on Sunday, March 3 at Gordon Hospice House. Born on July 28, 1925 to the late Thomas Edward and Lola Jane Alexander Miller, she was a lifelong resident of Iredell County. Residing at the home with her was her daughter, Rosie and grandson, Joshua Paul Miller and she was a member of Sharon Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Statesville. She and her late husband, Paul M. Miller, joined their sons in Miller Cycle Sales, in Statesville. In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded by a son, Paul Miller, Jr. and seven siblings. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Paulette Brawley (Robert), of Harmony, Darlene Whittaker (Garland), of Conover, James Paulie Miller of Statesville, and Rosie Miller of Statesville; Seven grandchildren, James Todd Whittaker, Joshua Paul Miller, James Paulie Miller Jr. (Heather), Franklin Paul Miller (Elizabeth), Yvonne Miller Locklear (Wade), Sallie Pauliena Miller, Crystal Marie Miller (Jake); Great grandchildren - AJ, Rhett, Rusty, Paul, Mary, Evan and Ellie Miller and Dorothy, Sammy, Tiffany and Jessica Locklear; four step great grandchildren, Ellen Workman, Margaret Silvestine, Thomas and Laura Pierce; four great-great grandchildren; and three surviving sisters-in-law, Jane Bartles, of Cary, NC, Ruthie Miller, of Point Pleasant, NJ and Pansy Miller, of Statesville.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. Service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Sharon Evangelical Lutheran Church in Statesville with the Rev. Darrell Norris and Rev. Gene Bruce officiating. Serving as Pallbearers will be Jamie Miller, Todd Whittaker, Frank Miller, AJ Miller, Joshua Miller and Wade Locklear. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
