Hendil Lee Isenhour age 85 of Hickory passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Charlie and Carrie Isenhour on Friday, November 22, 1929 in Catawba County. Hendil was a veteran of the US Navy, he served in the Korean Conflict. He also served in the Army Air Corp. He was a long time member, and a former member of the choir at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Hickory. He enjoyed gardening, yard sales, and especially traveling, he loved visiting Arizona.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Kimberly Isenhour, five brothers Dale, Von, Bruce, Dennis, and a infant brother Cryil Isenhour, one sister Lvertte Laporte.
Hendil is survived by his former wife Sue Isenhour, two sons Dallas, Vince Isenhour, a granddaughter Dalas Aguilar and husband Cnaz, two grandsons Daniel and Joseph Isenhour, and one great granddaughter Scarlett Aguilar.
A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Jeff Lindsey officiating. Family will receive friends following the memorial service. Interment will follow at a later date.
