Herman Steve Watson
December 12, 1941 — July 22, 2021
Herman “Steve” Watson, age 79 of Lenoir passed away at his home on Thursday, July 22, 2021, after a period of declining health.
Steve was born December 12, 1941, to the late Commodore Tim Watson and Faye Ola Stallings Rose in Caldwell County.
Steve served his country in the US Air Force, he enjoyed being a poultry farmer and working outdoors.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his wife Vivian Reid Watson.
Those left to cherish the memories of Steve include his son Phillip Watson and fiancé Jennifer Bolick, granddaughter, Peighton Watson, and numerous special in-laws.
A visitation for the Watson family will be conducted at Alexander Funeral Service on Monday, July 26, 2021, from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm. A graveside service will them follow at Oxford Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery on Hwy. 90 East with the Rev. Neal Walker officiating.
Military honors for Mr. Watson will be given at the graveside by the DAV Chapter 84.
Memorials in honor of Steve may be given to Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care @ 526 Robbinswood Place, Hudson, NC 28638
