Hershal Rowe Prichard,

Hershal Rowe Prichard, age 67, of Taylorsville passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Iredell County on June 21, 1946 to the late Rowe Stamey Prichard and Lillian Revis Prichard. Hershal attended Liberty United Methodist Church in earlier years but later was affiliated with the Baptist faith at the time of his death. He was a master carver in the furniture industry and at one time worked for Hickory Wood Turning, Taylorsville Frame, and Drexel Furniture. Along with his parents, Hershal was preceded in death by his brother, Owen Larrel Prichard. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Gail F. Prichard, of the home; two brother-in-laws: Michael Payne of Taylorsville and Charles Payne of Oak Hill, West Virginia; two sisters: Shirleen Prichard of Hiddenite, and Myra Lyne Prichard of Taylorsville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 23, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Service. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alexander Funeral Service with the Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Burial will take place after the service at Hiddenite Cemetery.
