Hubert Carroll Teague,

Hubert Carroll Teague, age 67, of Bethlehem, passed away on Thursday morning, February 3rd, 2011 at Frye Regional Medical Center.  He was born in Alexander County on March 7th, 1943 to parents Hoyle and Bertha Lail Teague.  He was a faithful member of the Bethlehem Church of God, as well as an avid southern gospel music fan.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 45 years, Phyllis Reid Teague; their daughters: Tamalita Smith and husband Jeff, and LaShawn Smith and husband Brian – all of Bethlehem.  He was a loving grandfather of five: Christopher, Brittany, Elias, Austin, and Sidney Smith – each of Bethlehem.  He also leaves behind 3 brothers: Billy Jack Teague and wife Lois of Bethlehem, Lawrence Teague and wife Nancy of Hickory, and Arnold Teague of Bethlehem; and 3 sisters; twin sisters: Joyce Scott and husband Jimmy of Hickory, and Lois Lanning and husband Fred of Taylorsville; and Margaret Burleson and husband Carl of Hickory. In addition, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends will hold him in their memories.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 5th, 2011 at the Bethlehem Church of God from 12:30 – 1:45 p.m.  The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. inside the church where the Rev. Howard Smith and Rev. Kenneth Hensley will officiate.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Billy Ray Teague, Todd Teague, Kevin Bolick, David Bolick, Kirk Simmons, Shane Killian, Scott Greene, and Bill Greene will serve as pallbearers.  Honorary Pallbearers will be: Rodney Icenhour and Mike Carswell.  Alexander Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements.  Memorials may be made to the Bethlehem Church of God @ PO Box 6324.
