Hugh Arthur Childers

Arthur "Hugh" Childers, age 80, of Taylorsville, passed away on December 19, 2016. Arthur was born on January 27, 1936 to Noah Garfield Childers and Dotsie Wike in Alexander County. He loved to golf but more importantly he loved his family.
Arthur leaves behind to cherish his memory one son Kent Childers of Hiddenite. One daughter Ladonna and husband Shawn Castagan also residents of Hiddenite. One granddaughter, Nikki Napier of Oklahoma. One great granddaughter Keira Mossey also of Oklahoma. One brother, Gary Childers. One brother in law Luke Warren of Taylorsville. One niece Kathy Warren of New York. Proceeded in death by parents and sister Betty Warren.
Visitation will be held at Alexander Funeral Service Thursday, Decemeber 22 at 10:00 am. Service will follow also at Alexander Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Rev. Gary Jennings will be officiating. In lieu of flowers all donations can be made to Hospice of Alexander County.
