Ila Apgar Meadows

Ila Louise Apgar Meadows, age 73, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022, in Iredell County. She was born to the late Newton Apgar and Grace Montanye Apgar in Union County, New Jersey on Wednesday, October 13, 1948. Mrs. Meadows was a member of New Life Church. She had worked at Taylorsville Hospital in the business office. She loved watching baseball and was a Braves fan. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her “kitties”.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Eberstadt, and grandchild, Kolby Miller.

Those left to cherish the memories of Ila, include daughters, Laura Stikeleather, Tanya Gorney, Krista Webster, brothers, Wayne Apgar and Alan Apgar, seven grandchildren, Timmy Eberstadt (Heather), Rebecca Pennell (Kelly), Raylee Gorney, Kyla Miller, Tandon Gorney, Kaitlyn Stikeleather, Kelsey Miller, six great-grandchildren, Jayden Pennell, Kira Pennell, Knox Eberstadt, Nash Eberstadt, Bristol Eberstadt, Nona Pennell, and special friend/caregiver, Harriet Gilleland.

Visitation for Ms. Meadows will be Friday, July 15, 2022, at New Life Church from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. The funeral service will be at New Life Church, Friday, July 15, 2022 at 3:30 pm. Burial will follow in the Taylorsville City Cemetery. Pastor Steve Watson will officiate.
