J.D. Warren, age 79, of Taylorsville, passed away on Tuesday morning at Valley Nursing Center. He was born to the late Spencer Blackman and Idel Clary Warren on December 24, 1936 in Alexander County. Mr. Warren was a member of Shining Light Baptist Church. He loved watching baseball &basketball. He enjoyed going fishing and farming.
In addition to his parents J.D. was preceded in death by his wife Betty Webster Warren, grandchild Justin Bath, 6 brothers, and a nephew Roger Warren.
He leaves to cherish his memory daughter Melissa Warren and fiancé Mark Nease, grandson Aaron Bath, two sisters; Ruth Hefner & husband Fate and Betty Edge, niece Crystal Bentley & husband Todd, and a number of special friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 4:00-5:30 pm at Alexander Funeral Service with the memorial service following at 6:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Gary W. Jennings will be officiating the service. Burial will take place in the Shining Light Church cemetery.
