Jack Alan Ward, age 46, of Hiddenite, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 18th, 2011 at Wuesthoff Medical Center in Rockledge, Florida. He was born in North Shore, Florida on February 11th, 1965 to parents Jack Marion Stafford and Margaret “Sally” Mary Walker. Jack was a truck driver for M & M trucking for over 10 years, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne Division. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Hiddenite and enjoyed golfing, fishing, and cooking. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Alan Ward; and his grandmother, Mary Matthews. In addition to his mother, Sally Ward, and father David E. Ward, those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Diamond Nicole Little & husband Aaron; granddaughter, Zadie Jade Little; 4 brothers: Sam Ward, Kelly Ward & wife Becky, Robin Ward & wife Caroline, and Eric Ward. He also leave behind 4 sisters: Julie Webb & husband Michael, Tammy Beckham & husband Bobby, Janet Christmas & husband Terry, and Kim Haywood & husband Billy; nieces: Sydney, Savannah, Bria, Shelby and Lexie Ward, Brandi Andrews, Emily Holland, Beth Haywood, and Amy Lynch; and nephews: Tyler & Trevor Beckham, Colson Ward, Justin Kilby, Jordan Roy, and T.J. Christmas. He also leaves behind a host of cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 23rd, 2011 at Fairview Baptist Church at 5:30 p.m. where Rev. Ruel Fox will be officiating. Visitation will follow after the service. In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to the Zadie Little College Fund @ PO Box 40. Taylorsville, 28681.
