Jack Reid, Sr.,

Jack Wallace Reid, Sr., of Lenoir, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014 at Charlotte Carolina Medical Center. He was born in Caldwell County on October 9, 1949 to the late Harold Don Reid and Blanche West Reid. Jack was once employed by Broyhill, Singer, and other furniture companies. He was of the Baptist faith and he was a talented musician. Jack enjoyed gardening and his family, especially his grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Wayne Reid. Those left to cherish his memory include daughters: Cindy Reid and Melissa Reid of Lenoir; son: Jack W. Reid, Jr. and wife Amanda of Lenoir; grandchildren: Brooklyn Reid, Brandon Reid, Anna Reid, Hayden Reid, and Rachel Reid of Lenoir; sisters: Janice Payne, Roxanne Hicks and husband Teddy, and Maxine Minton of Lenoir; and a number of nieces and nephews.



The graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Oxford Memorial Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. Neil Walker officiating.
