Jacob Elliott “Jake” Frye, age 19, of Taylorsville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011. Born Sept. 29, 1991, to Eric and Dana Jolly Frye in Catawba county, he was a graduate of Alexander Central High School, Class of 2009, where he played Varsity Football. He was a member of the Appalachian Coal Rollers and Pit Bull Riders  Motorcycle Club. Jake was a member of Friendship Lutheran Church. He was employed with his father at Frye Grading in Bethlehem. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold Frye. In addition to his parents he is survived by one brother, Mason Frye of the home as well as, his grandparents, LouAnn Frye, and Fred and Mary Lee Jolly, all of Taylorsville. He has three aunts, Julia Rhyne and husband Dennis, Karen Loudermelk and husband Steve, all of Taylorsville, and Roxanne Norton and husband, Alan of Hiddenite. Left to remember Jake are his cousins, Micaela, Cassey, Andrea, Timmy, Will, Briana, Don, Terry, Olivia, Chesney, Gemma, Mandy and Evie.  Missing Jake is man’s best friend, his pit bull, “Dozer”. The body will lie in state in the chapel of Friendship Lutheran Church, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011,  with funeral services at 4:00 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Todd Rauscher and Rev. Phil Thorsen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the burial in the church family life center. Memorials may be made to the Friendship Lutheran Church, 5300 Church Rd. Taylorsville, NC, 28681.   Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service in Taylorsville is serving the Frye family.
