James "Jamie" Eric Fox

James “Jamie” Eric Fox, 47, of Taylorsville passed unexpectedly on Saturday, June 16, 2018. He is the son of Steve and Nancy Fox. Jamie was employed with the Catawba County Department of Transportation as a Supervisor. A successful businessman, he owned a landscaping company for 10 years. He was a member at Oxford Baptist Church in Conover. Jamie was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was a perfectionist who often took on difficult projects from carpentry to masonry. His hobbies included rebuilding and restoring cars and trucks. Jamie was a good son, husband, dad, and granddad. We loved him a lot. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Paul & Hettie Cline and James & Becky Fox; along with some aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 24 years, Shannon Fox; son Dillan Fox and fiancé, Angel Estep; daughter Payton Fox; son Chandler Fox; grandson Bexley Fox; brother Jeff Fox; sister Dana Houston and husband Scott; nieces Sommer and Rebecca.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. The funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11:00 am at Oxford Baptist Church in Conover with the Pastor Joel Frye officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
