James "Mike" Presnell,

James Michael "Mike" Presnell, age 50 of Taylorsville, passed away on Monday, November 28 at Valley Nursing Center after a lengthy illness.  Born in Catawba County October 24, 1961 to James Alvin Presnell and the late Geneva Mae (Ward) Presnell, Mike was an upholsterer in the Furniture Industry and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Hickory.  Besides his mother, he is preceded in death by one brother Ronald Presnell  Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Scottie (Cline) Presnell, his father James Alvin Presnell.  Three daughters:  Christina Childers and husband, Stephen; Jennifer Parsons and husband, Daniel; and Heather Presnell.  One brother Douglas Kirk Presnell; two sisters Melissa Moretz and husband, Kenny; and Gwendolyn Foster and husband, Dennis.  Four grandsons: Branson Presnell, Justin Childers, Austin, and Avery Parsons. One granddaughter Taylor Childers and also his Aunt Minnie Hand as well as a host of nieces and nephews  A memorial service for Mr. Presnell will be held Saturday, December 3 at Alexander Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.  Rev.
