Jane B. Brown, 80 of Taylorsville passed away in Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba County on Sunday, July 17. She was born in CaldwellCounty, March 30, 1931 to the late Henry and Lillian Tarltan Bryant and was a member of BeulahBaptistChurchin Taylorsville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Shuford Brown. Two brothers: Perry Bryant, and Ralph Bryant, and one sister Viola Keller. Survivors include two daughters: Diane Medlin of Stony Point and Wanda Hefner of Newton. One son: Carl Glen Walters of Connelly Springs. Seven grandchildren: Bobbie Jo Deal, Hope Pennell, Jeffrey Mitchell, Mark Medlin, Scotty Medlin, Darren Walters, and Amanda W. Rivera, and also fourteen great grandchildren. Three sisters: Perlie Mae Hoke of Stony Point, Annie Lee Simmons of GraniteFalls, and Thelma Clanton of Taylorsville. She also has a number of nieces and nephews, and one special niece Phyllis Ann Hoke “Floonie” of Stony Point. Visitation for Mrs. Brown will be held on Tuesday, July 19 at Beulah Baptist Church from 2:00 – 2:45pm with the Funeral Service to begin at 3:00 pm. Rev. Brent Dual will be officiating. Burial will follow in the TaylorsvilleCityCemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Alexander Funeral & Cremation Service.
