Janet Burgess Fox,

Janet Burgess Fox, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 5, 2014 at her residence.  Janet will be celebrating her 62nd birthday in Heaven.  She was born on September, 14, 1952 in Alexander County, NC to Thomas Ross and the late Margie St. Claire Burgess.  Janet was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Taylorsville and worked for Hickory Springs of Hiddenite for over twenty years.  She enjoyed watching the soaps, HGTV, racing, gardening and flowers, travel, shopping, the beach and loving her miracle grandson Riley.  Along with her mother she is preceded in death by a brother; Clay Thomas Burgess, two grandchildren, and first husband John Dallas Fox.
Those left to cherish her memory is daughter; Crystal Fox Sipes and husband Richard and their son Riley Dallas Laney of Taylorsville; father; Thomas Ross Burgess "yoyo"; also lifelong special friend Richard McCarter and family, sisters Rachel Barnes and husband Jones; Marlene Earp and husband Ricky, also a number of special nieces and nephews all of Taylorsville.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Taylorsville, NC with the funeral on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 3 p.m. Alexander Funeral Service with Rev. Gary Jennings officiating.  Burial will take place at Salem Lutheran Church after the service.  Pallbearers include; Sammy and Rodney Barnes, Bubba Pierce, Jamie Earp, Ricky McCarter Jr., and honorary pallbearer; Riley Dallas Laney Sipes.
