Janie Elizabeth Teague

Janie Elizabeth Daniels Teague, age 85, of Taylorsville went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Valley Nursing Center. She was born on September 10, 1935 the daughter of the late Homer & Ruby Childers Daniels. Janie was a member at East Taylorsville Baptist Church, working in the nursery for seventy years. She was an amazing homemaker and had a special love for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Janie was also a baby doll collector and loved cooking and baking. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Edsel, Lary, & Bobby Daniels; and sister Martha Nell Herman.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 65 years Billy K. Teague; daughter Teresa Bumgarner & husband Danny; sisters-in-law Sue Daniels and Kathleen Teague; grandchildren Brandon Bumgarner & wife Lydia, Daniel Bumgarner & wife Mitzi, and Amber Spicer & husband Josh; great-grandchildren Jack, Tucker, Will, Amelia, and Sam Bumgarner and Molly Spicer; special niece Melinda Chapman & husband Danny; along with a number of nieces and nephews.

Janie’s book and folders will be available at the funeral home to come and sign during business hours. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 1, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Jennings Building at East Taylorsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Jamie Steele officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Lutheran Church. Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon & Daniel Bumgarner; Josh Spicer and Jack, Tucker, Will & Sam Bumgarner.
