Jason Steve Lackey

Jason Steve Lackey, age 45 of Hiddenite passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021. Jason was born on May 15, 1976, to Donald Lackey and the late Mary Lackey in Iredell County.
Jason worked as an exterminator; he also was a member at New Life Christian Church where he served on the security team. Jason enjoyed blacksmithing, playing video games, practicing Taekwondo, and watching the Highland games. Jason will always be remembered as being a great husband, father, protector, and provider.

Those left to cherish and share the memories of Jason include his wife of nine years, Rachel Brentner Lackey, father, Donald Lackey, daughter, Abigail Richardson, son, Elisha Lackey, brother, Buddy Lackey (Marilee), niece, Emily Lackey, and nephew, Zach Lackey, father-in-law, Kenneth Steven Brentner, mother-in-law Stephenie Lyn Brentner, along with the rest of their family, and Jason leaves behind numerous friends.

Visitation for The Lackey family will be conducted Friday October 1, 2021, at New Life Christian Fellowship from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday October 2, 2021, at New Life Christian Fellowship at 11:00 am. Rev. Steve Watson will officiate. Inurnment will be with the family.
