Jeffrey Thomas Howell, 48 of Hickory formally of Taylorsville went to be with his Heavenly Father Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Frye Regional Medical Center. Jeff was born Monday, November 27, 1972, in Alexander County to the late Robert Parsons and Juanita “Bo” Howell. Jeff loved spending time with his family above everything and enjoyed detailing cars. His wife and children were his world.
In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ned and Epsie Parsons; maternal grandparents, Rev. Thomas Leon and Margaret Howell; one brother, Tanner Quan Howell; four uncles, Ned “Brother” Parsons, Jimmy Parsons, Charles Littlejohn, John Henry Parsons; one aunt, Patricia Howell; and cousins, Melinda Jackson, Kerry Howell, Palon Howell, Michelle Parsons, and Felipe Howell.
Those left carry on the memory of Jeff are his wife, Linda Vang Howell; children, Paxton Gaither and husband Ranzino, Isaiah, Titus, Kylie, Nolan, and Trinity Howell; one brother, Spencer Howell and fiancé Carrie; one sister, Stacie Howell; one grandson, Khyran Gaither, uncles, Tommy Parsons, James, Thomas, Greg, and Brian Howell; aunts, Dianne Smith and husband Levy, Mamie Littlejohn, Laura Jane Parsons, Maryann Howell, Buelah Parsons, and Melanie Mason; nephews, Kerry and Devin O’Six; nieces, Hannah and Hailey York; cousin who was like a brother, Nicholas Parsons; and a host of cousins and special friends.
Jeff will lie in state from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm Sunday, October 24, 2021, at Alexander Funeral Service. The Graveside Service will be conducted 4:00 pm Monday, October 25, 2021, at St. John Baptist Church. Rev. T.E. Martin will officiate.
