Jenna Teague Russell,

Jenna Alice Teague Russell, age 90, of Taylorsville, passed away Sat. Mar. 26, 2011 in Iredell Memo. Hospital. Born April 20, 1920, to the late Jethro and Josephine Palmer Teague in Alexander County, she was a member of Russell Gap Baptist Church. She was employed by Schneider Mills, ChairCraft, Bassett, and Lewittes during her working career. She enjoyed gardening and canning, especially. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband, Asa Thurston Russell and one son, Gene Russell.  Four brothers, Turner, Willie, John and Hayden. Three sisters, Tressie, Thelma and Estell. She is survived by one son, Vaughn Russell and wife, Ethel, of Taylorsville, as well as one daughter, Ruby Pritchard, of Hiddenite.  One daughter-in-law Clara Russell, of Taylorville. 11 grandchildren, Angie Russell Robins,Tammy Russell Sharpe, Sharron Russell Bresh, Shannon Russell, Monty Carson, Stoney Carson, Janet Carson, Audie Pritchard, Terry Russell, Daniel Russell, and Jonathan Russell. 17 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. She has a host of nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March, 29, 2011 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Service. Funeral services will be Wed. Mar. 30, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Russell Gap Baptist Church. The body will lie in state thirty minutes before the funeral. Rev. Buster Treadway, Rev. Jimmy Chatham, and Rev. Josh Russell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.   Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service is serving the Russell Family.
