Jerry Gilbert Harbin,

Jerry Gilbert Harbin, age 72 of Taylorsville passed away at Frye Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, September 17, 2013. He was born in Iredell County, August 15, 1941 to the late Leonard and Eunice (Travis) Harbin. Jerry was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church LCMS in Statesville and at one time had been a member at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Newton. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Cantamus Choir. As an avid fisherman, he loved sharing that special time with his sons, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Harbin. Those remaining to cherish his memory are son - Daniel Gilbert Harbin; daughter - Lydia Ruth Harbin; son - Rob Harbin and wife, Julie; and daughter - Virginia Abigail Harbin. Three grandchildren - Kara, Bethany, and Noah Harbin. He also leaves behind one sister - Eileen Wooten and husband, Clarence; as well as a host of loving extended family.

A Memorial Service is planned at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church LCMS @ 465 Hartness Road, Statesville, NC at 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 22, 2013.
