Jesus Martinez San Juan also known as "Zeus" , age 43, of Taylorsville, passed away on July 8, 2016 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Jesus was born on July 5, 1973 to Jesus Martinez and Antonia San Juan Cruz in Hidalgo, Mexico. He was known as the "Mexican Doctor Dolittle" for his love of animals and was cherished for his sweet spirit that drew children to him. Jesus was preceded in death by a brother, Ismael Martinez.
Jesus leaves behind his loving wife of 15 years, Marsha Elaine Lynn, daughter, Alejandra Trejo, son, Antonio Trejo, one grandson, Zander Figueroa, two brothers: Eloy & Andreas Martinez, five godchildren, Alfredo & Sofia Aldunate, Adysen, Ashur, & Ava Jimenez, and a number of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
A celebration of Jesus' life will be conducted at his home on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 4:30 pm. The Rev. Kim Fox Dowell will be officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Rd, Newton, NC 28658, or to the ASPCA chapter of your choice.
