Jimmie Levoy White, Sr.

Jimmie Levoy White, Sr., age 87, of Taylorsville left this world for his heavenly home on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Carolina Caring. He was born on June 1, 1931, the son of the late Ralph Shaver & Fannie Watts White. Jimmie was a hard-working man. Whether in the textile industry, as a carpenter, or on the farm where he loved to be. He was devoted to working, his family, and his church. Jimmie was a member at Three Forks Baptist Church and was a faithful servant in the activities at the church. He was also an avid fisherman. Jimmie was a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all. He will forever be in our hearts. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Cynthia Ann Rice; infant siblings William & Reva White; brothers Charlie, Bobby, & Chester White; and sisters Ruby Young & Mattie Harrington.

Those remaining to cherish his memory include his wife of 70 years Ruth Etta White; son Jimmie Levoy White, Jr. & wife Glenda; son-in-law Frank Rice; brother George White (Boots); grandsons Lance White (Mary-Anne) & Franklin Rice (Mindy); granddaughters Yalanda Lail (Todd) & Allison Braswell (Mark); great grandchildren Jake, Grayson, & Cole Lail; Riley, Cooper, & Logan White; Thomas & Camden Hurst; Kara Kump; Zoe Braswell; and Lane & Charlee Rice; and sister-in-laws Geneva Deal, Gilda Pennell, & Shirley Pennell. The family would like to say a special Thank You to Shelby Hubbard as a caregiver.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 1:00 pm – 2:45 pm at Three Forks Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with the Dr. Carson Moseley and Rev. Gary Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Franklin Rice, Jake Lail, Lance White, Dale White, Frank Rice, Mark Braswell, Todd Lail, Mark White. Honorary pallbearers will be the Sunday School Class Members. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Three Forks Baptist Church Building Fund at 4685 Three Forks Church Rd; Taylorsville, NC 28681.
