Joan J. Robinette,

Joan J. Robinette, age 76, of Taylorsville, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville. She was born to the late Hartsell L. and Lona Bell Dagenhart Jolly on January 26, 1937. Joan was a member of First Baptist Church in Taylorsville and the Dorcas Sunday School class for thirty years. She was retired from the shipping department of Broyhill Furniture Industries, Plant 5 in Hiddenite, where she worked in the offices. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Herman M. Robinette, as well as her infant sister: LouAnn Jolly. She is survived by two sons: David Robinette & Mark Robinette and wife Alison, all of Taylorsville. Mrs. Robinette has two sisters surviving: Jelene Fox and husband Conrad & Shirley Fox and husband Ruel, all of Taylorsville. She leaves behind three grandchildren to remember her: Luke, Abby, and Holly Robinette, all of Taylorsville. Joan also has a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who survive.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. A private graveside burial will be held at Three Forks Baptist Church Cemetery on a later date. Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church at Po Box 305; Taylorsville, NC 28681. The family wants to give a special thank you to Ms. Jo Mitchell for all the care and support that you provided for our mother and family.
