John David Fox, age 57 of Hiddenite passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born February 14, 1964, the son of Beth Barnes Fox and the late J.C. Fox of Stony Point. He was a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church and a member of Hands of a sportsman. He enjoyed taking the handicapped children on a hunt. David devoted lots of time and work to this organization and what a blessing he received. If his hunter was lucky enough to harvest a deer or turkey that was a special bonus. David was a very giving person ready and willing to help anyone he could, and that love was given back by many special people. During his free time he loved the outdoors, riding motorcycles, ATVs, and farming. Most of all David loved his grandbabies.
Those left to cherish and honor his memory include his wife of thirty-two years Lisa Sweet Fox, daughter, Allison Millsaps (John) of Hiddenite, son, John Dylan Fox of the home, two grandchildren, Kade Lynn Tarlton, and Kasen Millsaps. David is also leaving behind his brothers, Jimmy and Mark Fox (Tonja), sister, Mary Ruth Morton, mother-in-law, and father-in-law Joyce and Johnny Sweet, brother-in-law David Sweet, along with a number of nieces and nephews.
