John Henry Parson age 73 of Taylorsville began his eternal walk with his Lord on August 25, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. John was the son of the late Issac Lee Howell and Edna Marie Parson King and was a member of St. John Baptist Church.
Mr. Parson’s body will lie-in-state at Alexander Funeral Service on Thursday and Friday, August 27 and 28, 2020 from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, and Saturday, August 29, 2020, 9:00 am until 12:00 noon. A graveside service for John Henry will be at St. John Baptist Church on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Rev. T.E. Martin and Rev. James Ferguson will officiate.
John enjoyed collecting wallets, knives, elephant figurines, and working crossword puzzles. He was considered a “jack of all trades” he loved working on cars, time on his golf cart, being outdoors, but most of all he loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Michael King, sister, Valire King, and nephew, Sean King, also in memory of Tiffany Fuller.
Those left to celebrate and cherish the memories of John include his wife of fifty-four years, Beulah Ann Parson, daughter, Jessie Parson Bennett and special friend, son, Henry Carson Parsons and special friend, son, Bobby Allen Parson, all of Taylorsville, special son-in-law, Michael Bennett, six brothers, Joe Parson and wife Olga of Taylorsville, Virgil King and wife Cynthia of California, David King and wife Lossie of Taylorsville, Melvin King of Taylorsville, William King and wife Janice of Taylorsville, and Johnny King of Taylorsville, two sisters, Marylynn King of Taylorsville, Nancy Weatherspoon of Taylorsville, brother-in-law, Tommy Parson, seven grandchildren, Jemaine Bennett, Michael Bennett, Jr., Trenton Bennett, Nathan Parsons, Monique Parsons, Emma Parson, and Becca Parsons, along with fourteen great-grandchildren, a number of special nieces, nephews, and special friends, neighborhood kids and a special nephew Terry Mcfarland.
The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Rd, Statesville, NC 2862.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service.
