Johnnie Ray Punch

Johnnie Ray Punch, age 50, of Taylorsville passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at his residence. He was born on November 8, 1970 in Caldwell County, the son of Ray Sanford Punch and Wanda Jean Moretz. Johnnie honorably served our country in the US Air Force. He earned his Associates Degree as an Accountant and worked for Caldwell Solutions. Johnnie was of the Christian faith and enjoyed riding motorcycles, horseback riding, hunting, and fishing.

Along with his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his first wife Sandra Stamey; stepmother Mary Punch; his children Brooke Watkins, Chris Punch, and Morgan Long (Jerome); sister Amberley Punch; grandkids Blayze Parker, Mason Long, Kayden Stamey, and Calum Long; and special friend Chris Herman.

Johnnie will lie-in-state at Alexander Funeral Service on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Dudley Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Tristan Shore officiating.

Military rites will be provided by the DAV Chapter 84 of Taylorsville and Chapter 6 of Hudson and the active Air Force Honor Guard. Memorials may be sent to the Wounded Warriors at 1990 Fordham Dr Suite 100, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
