Johnny Ray Allen

Johnny "Jack" Ray Allen, age 61, of Hickory, passed away at Frye Medical Center on October 3, 2016. Mr. Allen was born in Alexander County on June 19, 1955 to the late Earl J. Allen and Mary Francis McAlpin Allen Bentley. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents Mr. Allen was preceded in death by one brother, Timothy James Allen.
Mr. Allen leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Ronnie Allen of Taylorsville, two sisters, Gloria A. Simmons & husband Gordon of Lenoir and Teresa Matheson & husband Bobby of Hiddenite; a special friend and companion, Cindy Bridges of Hickory, step father, Johnny Bentley of Taylorsville, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 2:00-3:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. The funeral will follow at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Ronnie Allen will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Hiddenite Cemetery. Pallbearers will include: Anthony Hodges, Bradley Simmons, Dakota Simmons, Kyle Walker, David Moose, and Chris Robinette.
