Jordan Wesley “Jordy” Bentley age 28 of Taylorsville passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening, January 7. Born September 14, 1983 in Iredell County to Phil Bentley and Debbie Murphy, he had worked in the family owned construction business for several years as well as his more recent venture as a poultry farmer. Those left behind to cherish the memories of Jordan are his parents, Phil Bentley and Debbie Murphy; two daughters Jalyn Elizabeth Bentley and Ava Jean Lackey; two brothers Corey Bentley and Toby Bentley; a niece Kendall Bentley; a nephew Kingston Bentley; and his grandparents Max and Joann “Mom and Pop” Bentley. He also leaves behind many other family members. Those preceding him in death are a grandfather Deb Murphy and grandparents Waitsel and Betty Cantor. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 12 at Alexander Funeral Service from 6:00 – 9:00pm. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 13 at Calvary Baptist Church at 3:00 pm. with the burial to follow at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Bowman and Rev. Daniel Walker will officiate. Pallbearers are Travis Bentley, Adam Walker, Stewart Marlowe, Michael Rogers, Colby Herman, and Nafis Miller.
