Joseph Monroe Woodring

Joseph Monroe Woodring, age 63, formerly of Taylorsville, passed away in Knoxville, Tn. On Saturday, July 13, 2019. Born Sept. 29, 1955, to the late Crowson Daniel and Ruby Catherine Keller Woodring, and before becoming disabled was employed by the NCDOT. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one half-sister Ada Royal. He is survived by twin brothers, Mark and Mack Woodring as well one sister, Sarah Embler, all of Taylorsville. Two half-brothers, Arvil Myers and wife, Georgia, of Lenoir and Clyde Myers and wife, Kathy of Taylorsville. Several aunts, uncles, nephew and nieces survive. Joe had a special friend, Cody Vandergriff of Knoxville.
Visitation will be held Friday evening, July 19, 2019, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Service and a time of remembrance will follow at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will be with the family.
