Joyce Teague Scott,

Joyce Mae Teague Scott, age 76, of Conover, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Catawba Regional Hospice. She was born to the late Hoyle P. and Bertha Lee Lail Teague, on Wednesday, August 24, 1938 in Alexander County. Joyce was a member of Bethlehem Church of God. Prior to her retirement, Joyce was employed in the Hosiery Industry. She volunteered at the Catawba Memorial Hospital. Joyce was a caring, giving, loving natured person. She was forever giving whatever she had to anyone who needed it.
*In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy R. Scott and one brother, Hubbert Teague.
*She is survived by, two sisters, twin Lois Lanning and husband Fred, of Taylorsville, Margaret Burleson and husband Carl, of Hickory, three brothers, Arnold Teague and friend Helen Kinney, of Claremont, Bill Teague and wife Lois, of Bethlehem, Lawrence Teague and wife Nancy, of Hickory, and a number of nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Catawba Hospice & Palliative Care and her caregivers.
*Visitation for Joyce will be 1:30-2:30 pm Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Service. The funeral service will take place at The Bethlehem Church of God, on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 3:00 pm, with the Rev. Stewart Langford officiating.
