Juanita Stafford Conner,

Juanita Stafford Conner, age 77, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Autumn Care in Statesville. She was the daughter of the late Johnny Hardin and Annie Lee Melton Stafford. Mrs. Conner was born  on Wednesday, August 17, 1938 in Richmond County, NC. Juanita married Johnny Brooks "Red" Conner on September 26, 1958; whom preceded her in death on December 27, 2015. Their marriage spanned over 57 years. Juanita was a loving wife and mother; she found pleasure in the simple things of life. She had a servant's heart. She always offered something to drink or eat while in their home. Juanita was a member of Command Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons; Johnny "JB" Conner Jr. of Statesville, Eugene Conner & wife Libby of Hiddenite, daughter Ann Hager & husband Mark of Statesville, two brothers; John Henry Stafford & wife Carol, Jerry Stafford & wife Dianne, one sister Jean Brown all of Rockingham, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and special friends. The family wishes to acknowledge the staff at Autumn Care for all their loving care of Mrs. Conner. Mrs. Conner and her husband Mr. Conner were well taken care of.

Visitation is Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Command Baptist Church in Statesville from 12:30-2:00 pm, with the funeral service following visitation. The Rev. Tony Fox and Rev. Jim Morgan will be officiating the service. Burial will take place at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family requests that in addition to flowers that memorials be made to Command Baptist Church Mission Fund at Command Baptist Church; 658 Island Ford Rd; Statesville, NC 28625
