Judy Amanda Childers,

Judy Amanda Childers, age 62, of Conway, South Carolina, formerly of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Conway Medical Center.  Mrs. Childers was born in Statesville, NC, a daughter of the late James Rayford and Mary Elizabeth James Steele.  She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Taylorsville, NC.  Mrs. Childers worked with her husband at Dean's Upholstery for 44 years.  She was preceded in death by three brothers, Rayford Lee Steele, Bobby Junior Steele and Richard Roby Steele and two sisters, Becky S. Branton and Mary Catherine Steele.  Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Waitsel Dean Childers of Conway; two sons, Douglas Childers and wife Traci of Loris, SC and Ricky Dean Childers of Conway, SC; five grandchildren, Britteny Childers, Shawn Childers, Tristen Childers, Zackary Childers and Matthew Childers; two great-grandchildren. Emylee Hernandez and Jocelyn Hernandez; three brothers, Daniel Steele, Steve Steele and Chris Steele and three sisters, Dean Miller, Debbie Hodges and Sandy Kepley.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church in Taylorsville.  Service will be on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 11:00am at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Taylorsville with Rev. Jamie Steele officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
