Judy Mae Phelps,

Judy Mae Phelps, age 65, of Hickory,passed away in Frye Regional Hospital on Monday, October 17.  Born January 6, 1946 to the late Ralph Durant and Ver Lee Harrison, she was a member at OakgroveBaptistChurchin GraniteFalls. Besides her parents, those preceding her in death are a sister Patsy Moretz and a brother Glen Harrison. Those left to treasure her memories are two sons:  Tim Phelps and wife, Holly of Connelly Springs, and Mark Phelps of the Grace Chapel. One daughter:  Paula Phelps of Conover.  Four grandsons:  Cody, and Luke Phelps of Connelly Springs, Matthew Phelps of Grace Chapel and George Hylton of Conover.  One granddaughter:  Leah Swafford on Tennessee.  Three brothers:  Bob Harrison and wife, Bertha of Granite Falls; Jake Harrison and wife, Gladys of Granite Falls; and Tom Harrison and wife, Wanda of Grace Chapel.  She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other friends, as well as a special companion – George Inman. Visitation for Ms. Phelps will be held at Oakgrove Baptist Church, Granite Falls, NC on Thursday, October 20 from 2:30 – 4:00pm with the Funeral Service to be conducted at 4:00 pm. Rev. Wayne White will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.    Arrangements entrusted to Alexander Funeral & Cremation Service.
