Judy Carolyn Teague

Judy Carolyn Teague, age 73, a beloved member of her family and community, peacefully passed away at her home in Alexander County on Monday, February 17, 2025. She was born on Monday, February 11, 1952, in Catawba County.

Judy cherished her relationships with her great-nieces and great-nephews. Her heart was filled with love for her immediate family, which included her nephews, Stephen David Teague Jr. (Paula) and Josh Teague (Brandi), and her niece, Tammy Shortridge. She leaves behind her sisters-in-law, Peggy Teague and Denise Teague, creating memories that will forever be treasured.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Wilson and Mary Lavinia Teague, and her brothers, Carl Wilson Teague and Stephen David Teague Sr.

A devoted member of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, Judy found joy in her church and church family. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, offering her guidance and a sense of belonging that she deeply appreciated.

Outside of her church activities, Judy enjoyed simple pleasures, often found coloring, immersing herself in the sounds of Bluegrass music, or watching basketball, particularly the UNC Tarheels.

Judy’s visitation will be held at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship located at 541 Ruritan Park Road, Stony Point, NC 28678, from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. The funeral service will be at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow in Stony Point Tabernacle Church Cemetery located at 190 Mill Hill Court, Stony Point, NC 28678. Pastor Chuck Hager will officiate. Josh Teague, Storm Slape, Brandon Horn, Garrett Horn, Jason Milstead, and JR Brown will serve as pallbearers.

Her legacy of love and devotion to family, faith, and community will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
