Karl Wiley Jarrell,

Karl Wiley Jarrell, Jr, age 71, of Taylorsville, departed this earth for his divine appointment with the King of Kings on Friday, August 8, 2014 at his residence under hospice care. He was born on December 10, 1942 in Baltimore, MD to the late Karl Wiley Jarrell, Sr and Naomi May Kertcher Jarrell. Karl served in the Army, was in the US Army Reserves, and was a retired truck driver for Loudermelk Logging. He also was a licensed and ordained minister and was a member of Shining Light Baptist Church in Taylorsville. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by son: Mark Anthony Jarrell, and granddaughter: Rachel Lynn Jarrell. Those left to cherish his memory include wife, Lorene Billings Jarrell, of the home; sons: David Lee Jarrell and wife, Donna Suzanne, John Paul Jarrell, and Steven Eugene Jarrell; daughter: Ruthie Wagner and husband, Harvey Earl; grandchildren: Rebecca, Joshua, Sarah, Matthew, Joseph, and Tiffany Jarrell; step granddaughter: Maria Mecimore; 3 great grandchildren; brother: Herbert Franklin Jarrell, of Kilgore, TX; and 2 nieces.



The family will receive friends Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 12:00 noon at Shining Light Baptist Church. The memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Mike Cothren officiating.
