Kelly Lee Icenhour,

Kelly Lee Icenhour, age 86 of Taylorsville, passed away at his home, Friday, August 2, 2013.  Born in Alexander County, NC on January 25, 1927 to the late Luther and Lottie Icenhour.  Mr. Icenhour  was a life time member of Friendship Lutheran Church.  He loved  to play cards (Rook and Rummy), small game hunting and fishing.  Members of the community remember him best by him sitting on the front porch.  He was also a veteran, serving in WW II and a member of the DAV Chapter 84, Taylorsville.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers - Otto, Raymond, Marlow,  Blenton, and Lynn Icenhour; two sisters-Nessie Icenhour and Effie Farrar. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Mary Todd Icenhour of the home; one son- Lee Icenhour of  Danville, CA.; along with a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Friendship Lutheran Church on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.  Services will be held at Friendship Lutheran Church on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 3:00 pm. Reverend Phil Thorsen will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Friendship Lutheran Church Life Center at 5300 Church Road, Taylorsville NC 28681 or DAV Chapter 84 of Taylorsville at 582 Carrigan Road,  Taylorsville NC 28681.
