Kendra Brooke McDaniel

Kendra Brooke McDaniel, age 31, was born on October 29, 1993, in Chesapeake, Virginia, she graced this world with her vibrant spirit until her unexpected passing at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center on January 25, 2025. At the time of her passing, Kendra resided in Hiddenite, North Carolina, where she created a loving home with her significant other, Darren Nunnery and their four beautiful children, Alaynah Bernard, Colton Nunnery, Lylah Nunnery, and Kinsleigh Nunnery. Kendra was a devoted mother, and her family meant everything to her.

Aside from her family, Kendra had a passion for drawing and music. She found solace and joy in these hobbies, allowing her creativity to shine through in everything she did.

Kendra is survived by her mother, Angela Bath and husband Scott Bath; her father, Chuck McDaniel; stepfather, Paul Hamby; maternal grandmother, Amanda Motes; grandmother, Margaret Hamby; her brothers, Anthony McDaniel (Kaylynn), James Sherrod (Jessica); sisters, Ashley Hamby and Maria Mecimore. She is also survived by aunts; Jennifer Sherrod and Tracie Bath (William); uncles, Robert Sherrod (Renee) and Brian Sherrod (Nancy), and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom all loved her dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025, at The Wave Church located at 135 Village Point Drive, Statesville, NC at 12:00 pm. Pastor Tammy James will officiate.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Wake Forest Baptist Medical ICU Staff (Reynolds Tower), The Wave Church of Statesville, Taylorsville First Assembly of God, Eastside Baptist Church of Mooresville, and all those who have donated for the services.
