Kenneth "Marley" Matthew Partee

Kenneth "Marley" Matthew Partee, born on September 15, 1993, in Catawba County, North Carolina, passed away on July 31, 2024, in Alexander County, North Carolina. He was a talented young man whose work was showcased in the Objects Gallery of the Hickory Museum of Art in the summer of 2022.

"Marley" was known for his kind and helpful nature, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. His infectious smile brought joy to everyone around him, and he had a special love for music. Apart from painting, "Marley" enjoyed gardening and landscaping, showcasing a true green thumb.

In his passing, Marley leaves behind a legacy of touching many lives with his warmth and generosity. He will be deeply missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his mother Sharon Byers, father Bobby Partee, grandmother, Shelia Killian, sisters; Bobbie Jo Partee Williams (Nes), Stephanie Partee Sherrill (Charqual), Tisha Partee, Janice Brice; brothers Stephan Partee, Jason Cook, Nathan Byers (Abby), several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

"Marley" is preceded in death by two sisters, Mandy Partee and Margaret Martin; grandfather, Benton Byers, and niece, Kashtyn Byers.

A Memorial Service to honor Marley's life will be held on August 11, 2024. The service will take place at First Baptist Church in Township of Taylorsville, North Carolina. The service will begin at 3:00pm. Pastor Scott Henson will officiate. 

"Marley's" presence will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. May his soul rest in peace as his memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly.
