Kevin Graham Potts, age 50, a beloved member of the community, was born on Sunday, August 4, 1974, in Forsyth County. He passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Kevin was a dedicated worker at Smith Setzer and Sons, where he took great pride in the work he accomplished.
Kevin had a profound love for his family, cherishing every moment spent with them. He loved the times he was able to help his father build various projects, showcasing not only his handiwork but also the bond they shared. Family was central to Kevin's life, and he nurtured these relationships with great affection and dedication.
In addition to his work and family life, Kevin found joy in a variety of hobbies and interests. He was an avid sports enthusiast who could often be found watching various games. He also enjoyed collecting knives and hunting, pursuits that brought him immense satisfaction and connection to nature.
Kevin was also a proud member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where he found community and fellowship. His faith was an essential part of his identity, guiding him through life's challenges and triumphs.
He is survived by his loving parents, Tony and Libby Potts, and his special friend, Dana Johnson. He is also remembered by his uncles, Harold Moose and Roger Shew, along with their families, and his aunt Linda Ballard and her family.
Kevin was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, along with Aileen Benfield and Sissy Shew (aunts), Robert Benfield (uncle), and two beloved cousins.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Bethlehem Baptist Church at 2:00 pm. Rev. Dean Chambers will officiate. Inurnment will be with the family.
