Kimble Anthony McFarland, affectionately known as "Biggie", age 52 of Moravian Falls, passed away at Davis Memorial Hospital on Monday, December 15, 2014. He was born in Cincinnati, OH to Fletcher McFarland and the late Mollie Mary Parsons McFarland on August 11, 1962. Kimble will be remembered for his love of softball, his grandchildren who were the light of his life, his big heart and his ability to see the good in everyone. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of St. John Baptist Church.
Besides his mother, those who have preceded Mr. McFarland in death are his wife, Jewel McFarland, and an aunt, Jane Parsons, who was more like his mother.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are two daughters: Anitra and Jazmaine McFarland; one son: Anthony McFarland all of Taylorsville. One brother: Terry McFarland and wife Loretta of Lenoir. Three grandchildren: Ariyana, Jakaevion, and Jakourian McFarland. Two nieces: Lilly and Layla McFarland. His godmother Lena Bell Barnes of Taylorsville, and god daughter Azjah Howell of Taylorsville, and a friend who was like a brother - Gary Parson of Taylorsville; and companion - Tina Smith of Wilkesboro.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Alexander Funeral Service from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm. Funeral services are planned for Thursday, December 18, 2014 at St. John Baptist Church at 2:00 pm. The body will Lie-in-State for 30 minutes prior to the service. Rev. Tyra Eugene Martin and Rev. John Rowe will officiate, and burial will follow in St. John Baptist Church cemetery.
